Mildred L. Endress - 9011/26/1923 - 1/14/2014
Princeville – Mildred L. Endress, 90, of Eureka, formerly of Washington, Princeville, and Williamsfield, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, in Eureka, IL.
She was born in Princeville on November 26, 1923, to William and Lydia Grimm Feucht. She was baptized on March 12, 1937, at the Princeville Apostolic Christian Church at the age of 13. She was united in marriage with Levi Endress on April 4, 1943, in Princeville. Together they raised seven children on their farm near Williamsfield until his death on April 5, 1970. She later lived in Princeville with her sister Ruth Feucht, and spent her last years in Washington, IL, and most recently at the Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka.
Mildred is survived by her children, Larry (Becky) Endress of Buda, Ralph (Elsa) Endress of Hudson, Kay (Denny) Nieman of Sterling, OH, Linda (Jim) Vierling of Secor, Jerry (Luann) Endress of Dunlap, Merle (Teresa) Endress of Princeville, and Don (Sandra) Endress of Morton; 25 grandchildren; 72 great-grandchildren; one sister, Lyola (James) Ringger of Eureka; and one brother, Walter Feucht of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, three brothers, and two sisters.
A lifelong homemaker, Mildred loved gardening and making quilts for all of her children and grandchildren. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who expressed her love for the Lord by serving others.
The family wishes to acknowledge with thanks the loving care given to their mother by friends and staff at the Washington Condos and the Eureka Apostolic Christian Home.
She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Washington, and the Apostolic Christian Church, Princeville, where services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 17, 2014. Ministers of the church will officiate. Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014, at Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall in Princeville, as well as from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery, Princeville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Apostolic Christian Home in Eureka or Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service.
